Children's Summer Club...
What We Offer...
Our workshops have been created to accommodate all ages and genders. We keep our class size to 6 crafters over three large tables. These are spaced out to adhere to the governments guidelines on social distancing. Our beautiful studio has an array of tools and resources, with each crafter having the use of their own sanitised items. There are lots of new skills to be learnt, fun to be had and time and space to create your own unique product.
Why Book With Us?
Workshops are run by experienced tutors who currently teach in local primary schools. Our tutors hold an Enhanced DBS, are first aid aware and at least one tutor holds a first aid certificate.
Here at Poppyseeds home we celebrate differences and encourage everyone's own imagination and creativity. We give children the tools, teach the skills and time to explore and create at their own pace.
We have completed a Covid-19 risk assessment and updated our policies to reflect the current governments guidelines. We are pleased to announce that our business is Covid-19 Secure.

Children's Workshops...
Dream Catcher Workshop
Sleep easy in your bed at night with your very own handmade dream catcher. Using a wooden hoop which represents the circle of life, decorate by weaving wool to create a colourful wheel. Next, select from a vast selection of ribbons, lace, feathers, flowers, pom poms and beads to create your stunning dream catcher.
Dream catchers have been around for hundreds of years and legend has it that they catch our bad dreams and allows our positive thoughts to pass through. Once your curtains are open in the morning and the sunlight shines through, our bad dreams that are caught in the web, just simply disappears!
To attend this workshop, you do need to be able to tie a knot.

Canvas Bag Printing
Design and create your very own bag. A large canvas bag with two leather straps is the perfect accessory for the summer. Practise your printing skills first on fabric, test out the colours and different blocks, before printing your final idea on your bag. Lots of ideas and inspiration in the studio to get your started.
Cost includes tuition and all materials. Please bring your own drinks in a plastic bottle.

Cushion Cover Printing
Design and create your very own cushion cover. Handmade calico square cushion with envelope front fastening. Your cushion would look great displayed on your bed or on a chair! Practise your printing skills first on fabric, test out the colours and different blocks, before printing your final idea on your cushion cover. Lots of ideas and inspiration in the studio to get your started. Cost includes tuition, all materials and even the cushion inner!

Paper Block Printing
Come and explore block printing on paper items and create your own framed masterpiece! Practise your printing skills first on paper, test out the colours and different blocks, before printing a selection of cards, envelopes a gift bag and a picture to be framed! Lots of ideas and inspiration in the studio to get your started. Cost includes tuition, all materials including a white picture frame!

Minibeast Garden
This exciting minibeast garden will be the talk of the insect world! Paint a wooden minibeast house, then fill it with natural resources to encourage little guests to move in! Lots of resources available to create mini habitats around the house to encourage diversity. Paint a large stone with your own welcome message! You even get real plants to nurture. Cost includes tuition and all materials. Please bring your own drinks in a plastic bottle.

Lighthouse Garden or Minibeast Garden
Come and create your very own seaside garden. First you will paint a pottery lighthouse alongside a string of bunting displayed on real pieces of driftwood. We have a lovely range of resources for you to choose from. These are a mixture of natural objects such as shells, driftwood, stones and sea-glass, to decorative seaside shapes. You even get to plant out real plants to nurture!

Button Art
There's nothing more tactile than buttons!.Come and draw your own picture onto a piece of cotton fabric or choose from our selection of templates. Decide your colours, arrange and stick. We will put your button masterpiece in wooden white boxed frame. ready for you to takeaway. Keep it for yourself or give as a gift. Cost includes, tuition, materials, including the frame.
