Forest School Cooking Club...

Connect to nature...

Our sessions follows the Forest School principles of:

  • Connection to one another; building a community where we can learn from each other
  • Connect to nature and our natural environment
  • Space to explore and discover
  • Promote holistic development through fostering resilience, confidence and independence
  • Develop physical, social and cognitive skills
  • Develop creative learners through risk taking, problem solving and having ago
  • Being respectful and following instructions to ensure we keep ourselves and others safe

Our Sessions...

Our Forest school programmes build on children's interests and skills and are built upon over time.  A session includes free exploration and a cooking activity on an open fire. Everything cooked will be eaten together around the fire circle. All cooking is meat free, and vegetarian ingredient alternatives are available.

Forest School is a long-term process where learners demonstrate progression of skills and knowledge through hands on experiences. It is a journey of connecting to one another, to nature and to oneself.

Free exploration time is given to explore the forests school site and play within nature.
